Luke 6:12, In these days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.
Mikadō in the World
Paths, Trails, The Way, Pilgrimage..
It's the unknowns and adventures that we take that have the greatest impact on our lives and how we view the world around us. The artistry of creation is awesome in the true sense of the word, it's "awe" inspiring. When we are at peace on the trail, gazing into a campfire, mezmerized by the rolling surf of the ocean, or lost in the magnitude of looking into the night sky, helping a stranger or hangin with family and friends, that's where we find the most meaning in our lives.
Our Story
A Story of Restoration & Self-Discovery
Every day is a gift, a blessing.
Mikadō began not with a plan of business, or even a business plan, but with a way of seeing the world. After years spent in the mountains guiding, teaching and living simply, I found myself unexpectedly drawn to something totally different: the quiet craft of cleaning, restoring, and reviving vehicles for people. What seemed like an inexplicable detour at first became a deeper calling. The satisfaction of being part of the sounds and actions that it took to restore what at first glance seem to be impossible, to the stillness found in an aesthetically quiet cabin ready for you to experience. These moments became a form of focus, meditation, prayer and of purpose. I stumbled upon detailing not as a practice but as a service to you, an art of care and clarity. Mikadō is built on the principle of Kaizen. A commitment to quiet, continuous improvement. In our world of speed and noise, this work offers us something different.. stillness in motion. We don't chase trends, We don't overcomplicate. We arrive, we restore, and hopefully we leave some peace of mind behind.
This isn't just mobile detailing, it is restorative personal care, grounded in simplicity, and guided by craftsmanship.
Mikadō looks forward to serving in what we call our Path. It is a concept of taking care of whatever is in our path. Our path is the places we go, where we are, or making continual improvements or taking care of something that is in our capability to do so without passing it by or on to someone else. Here is just one example of the activities we do.
We place and service small "Trail Trash" or "Poo Pails" at trailheads, Lava Lake, Hellroaring, Indian Ridge, and Castle Rock (Storm Castle). In those same areas we pick up stray litter along the way.
